English Language Teaching

A global English Language Teaching series for children between six and eleven. The corpus was to be at the forefront of a new digital vision for Pearson. With personalised learning as a key strategy, a variety of new digital components were needed to support the traditional print offering.

Working with Disney

Following the success of existing series English Adventure, Pearson and Disney Publishing collaborated to produce the revamped Imagine series - newly including digital components. Working with Disney meant a few guidelines to follow, but also allowed us access to a huge bank of spectacular high quality Disney artwork and film stills.

DIGITAL CONCEPT

Online Platform

A great way to learn English is to talk with other speakers in natural environments. For primary level children, an online space is the perfect way to extend learning out of the classroom and into the home. Disney Imagine were able to offer an English Language Teaching course that was the first of its kind: an interactive world in which to play and learn with other children.

DEVELOPING THE PRINT

Student's Book

When designing the Student's Book, the goal was to keep the design simple and clean. It needed to be easily adapted for the progressing age groups, and most of all, let the artwork take pride of place. I briefed certified Disney artists to create new content, alongside existing stills from the most popular films.
